About Us

Who Are We?

Founded on the 20th July 2012, the Associação dos Jovens Macaenses – AJM (or Macanese Youth Association) is a non-profit association, which aims to provide local youths a platform for cultural exchange, and promote local, in particular, Macanese traditions, customs, languages and culture.

In view of the objectives stated in its statutes, AJM aspires to attract, through varied activities and events, the participation of local youths from different sectors in associative and social affairs, while intensifying their identity and recognition as a citizen of Macau, in order to serve and contribute to the local social development at different levels.

As Macau serves as a platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, AJM is committed to build constructive exchange and cooperation amongst youths, and strengthen relationships in terms of culture and other aspects of development.

AJM is proud of the historic legacy of Macau, and is prepared to work with its team and members now and in the future.
